Toumbaal Plains

Toumbaal allows you to experience the raw beauty of the far North Coast.  Views over the sweeping coastal plains and the rolling coastal range with the sound of the sea.  The kangaroos and emus treat Toumbaal as just part of the landscape sheltering in the shade of its high walls in summer.  It is a true wilderness experience.

A Private Coastal Retreat

Located on the coastal plains on the Far North Coast of New South Wales surrounded by Yuraygir National Park.  Toumbaal is a privately owned family escape with views along the coastal plain and ocean.

Location

Toumbaal sits on a hill behind a remote beach on the far North Coast.  Easily accessible by road yet still providing the feeling of being hidden from the world.

Toumbaal is located in the Clarence Valley which is approximately 3 hours drive from Brisbane and 8 hours from Sydney.  You can fly to Ballina/Bryron Airport which is a 1 hour and 20 minute drive to the North from Toumbaal.

We have come along way since the 1880's when the Waugh's first started to camp on the coast.  The tradition of moving out to the beach continues at Toumbaal Plains which was once part of the Coastal Run for Taloumbi Station.  Our family has owned Toumbaal continuously since the 1880's and we love to share the experience with our guests.
